Lunch and Lecture: 'Of Women'

11.00AM Thu 20 Sep 2018
QAGOMA | Gallery 7, Gallery 8, Gallery 9, GOMA Restaurant | Ticketed

For much of art history, male artists have shaped the way we view the female form. ‘Of Women’, a new display in the International collection galleries, draws attention to representation of women in art through dress, costume, ornamentation, props and pose of the female subjects. Join QAGOMA curators, Geraldine Kirrihi Barlow and Sophie Rose for a discussion on the historical representation of women in art, and how this is slowly changing.
