GOMA | River Room | Free
It's an imagination explosion at Kusama Sundays during 'Yayoi Kusama: Life is the Heart of a Rainbow'!
Drop-in to the Kusama Art Therapy Lounge and work directly with artists through a series of creative encounters inspired by the exhibition, including:
- Rainbow and repetition with Arkie Barton (Fashion designer and artist)
- Felt and everyday objects with Sue-Ching Lascelles (Textile artist)
- Weaving the rainbow with Hannah Bronte (artist and DJ)
Arkie Barton is the fashion designer behind Brisbane-based label Arkie, which endeavours to bring contemporary Indigenous culture to all Australians through fashion.
Sue-Ching Lascelles is a Brisbane-based textile artist specialising in the creation of everyday objects from felt. Her collections of soft sculptures are inspired by a playful, childlike vision of the world around us.
Hannah Brontë's multi-media practice focuses on developing female and indigenous empowerment. Influenced by her love for rap and the power of spoken word, she explores language in popular culture, hip-hop and slang.
Free, no bookings required. Materials provided. Suitable for all ages and skill levels.
