In conjunction with World Science Festival, join Dr Andrew Thomas, NASA astronaut and first Australian to fly in space, in conversation with Ellie Buttrose, Associate Curator, International Art, QAGOMA, as they discuss Tomás Saraceno's Biosphere 02 2009.

Saraceno's work is inspired by the 'Biosphere 2' experiments of the early 1990s which considered the possibility of self-contained ecological environments designed to float above cities or beyond the Earth's atmosphere.
