About
Join renowned Danish-Icelandic artist and UNDP Goodwill Ambassador Olafur Eliasson for a talk tracing his artistic practice over the last twenty-five years. From early works like Beauty 1993, seminal installations like The weather project 2003, to his monumental work in the forthcoming ‘Water’ exhibition, Riverbed 2014 – Eliasson’s practice spans a broad range of media and inspires conversation about how art can turn thinking into doing in the world. Following the keynote talk, Olafur Eliasson will be joined by Chris Saines, Director, QAGOMA for a Q&A. Please note – this event is free and unbooked. Seating is limited, available on a first-in, first seated basis. To ensure equal access for all, seats cannot be saved. GOMA doors will open and queueing for the event will commence at 7.15pm. In addition to the live event, the session will be live streamed to three locations at GOMA and online on QAGOMA's YouTube channel. Make a night of it! The Bodhi Tree Terrace Bar will be open from 5.30pm and the GOMA Store will be open all night until 8.30pm.
