About
Author, activist and ambassador for Indigenous literacy Anita Heiss was born a member of the Wiradjuri nation of central New South Wales to an Aboriginal mother and Austrian father. Am I Black Enough for You? is a deeply personal memoir in which Heiss discusses stereotypes, cultural misunderstanding and racism in contemporary Australia. It is also part biography of her mother and Anita's own Aboriginal family. Told with wit, Am I Black Enough for You? combines memoir with manifesto in a fascinating look at contemporary Indigenous Australia.
