SESSION 1: PROTEST Samuel Woripa Watson explores how the powerful act of standing up and speaking out, can be used as a disruptive method to incite change. Samuel Woripa Watson is a Wangerriburrah and Birri Gubba person, Aboriginal activist and Socialist. Sam is based in Meanjin (Brisbane) and has been involved in campaigning and organising for Invasion Day protests in Brisbane, environmental justice, refugee rights, and against Black deaths in custody and racism.
