QUT Art Museum and its sister gallery, William Robinson Gallery, are two of Queensland’s premier visual art institutions, situated at QUT Gardens Point Campus on the Brisbane River. Members are invited to join Public Programs Officer Sarah Barron for a private after-hours tour of ‘Anne Wallace: Strange ways’, the first major survey exhibition of this leading Australian painter, and featuring works from the early 1990s to now. ‘Strange ways’ brings together Wallace’s substantial oeuvre to uncover some of her creative influences in music, literature and film, as well as reveal her transformations of somewhat strange scenes of familiarity into concise, exciting and memorable paintings. View recent QAGOMA acquisitions of Anne Wallace’s work, on display on Level 1, GOMA. Free, ticketed / Book online or call (07) 3840 7278 / Places are limited
