Join Geraldine Kirrihi Barlow, Curatorial Manager, International Art, and Sophie Rose, Assistant Curator, International Art, for a conversation about the earliest works in ‘European Masterpieces from The Metropolitan Museum of Art, New York’, exploring a time when art was shaped by the magnificent commissions of the Church, and linking the sacred mysteries of birth and death: from the tenderness of Carlo Crivelli’s Madonna and Child c.1480 to the tragedy of Fra Angelico’s The Crucifixion c.1420–23. This exhibition is organised by The Metropolitan Museum of Art, New York, in collaboration with the Queensland Art Gallery | Gallery of Modern Art and Art Exhibitions Australia.
