Join Geraldine Kirrihi Barlow, Curatorial Manager, International Art, QAGOMA, in conversation with Professor Andrew McNamara, Creative Industries Faculty, School of Creative Practice, Visual Arts, QUT, as they reflect on Richter's depiction of trauma, with a focus on the monumental, four-part painting, Birkenau 2014, which draws on photographs taken by the Jewish Sonderkommando at Birkenau Concentration Camp in 1944.
Followed by a performance of Arvo Pärt's Drei Hirtenkinder aus Fátima by the Canticum Chamber Singers.
