It's an imagination explosion at Kusama Sundays during 'Yayoi Kusama: Life is the Heart of a Rainbow'! Drop-in to the Kusama Art Therapy Lounge and work directly with artists through a series of creative encounters inspired by the exhibition, including: Rainbow and repetition with Arkie Barton (Fashion designer and artist)Arkie Barton is the fashion designer behind Brisbane-based label Arkie, which endeavours to bring contemporary Indigenous culture to all Australians through fashion. Felt and everyday objects with Sue-Ching Lascelles (Textile artist)Sue-Ching Lascelles is a Brisbane-based textile artist specialising in the creation of everyday objects from felt. Her collections of soft sculptures are inspired by a playful, childlike vision of the world around us. Weaving the rainbow with Maryann Talia Pau (Artist and weaver)Maryann is a Brisbane-based artist, passionate weaver, founder of the One Million Stars to End Violence project (2012), and co-founder of the Pacific Women's Weaving Circle (2010). Please note that due to unforeseen circumstances, Hannah Bronte is unable to participate in the final Kusama Sundays program. Free, no bookings required. Materials provided.
