About

Delve deeper into QAGOMA exhibitions at our monthly Members lecture, then catch up with friends and meet fellow Members over a two-course lunch on the Roof Terrace at GOMA.

Hear from Ruth McDougall, Curator, Pacific Art, QAGOMA as she considers the importance of artistic collaboration across the diverse cultures of the Asia Pacific Region. Looking at the practices of Pacific and Timorese artists and groups featured in 'The 11th Asia Pacific Triennial of Contemporary Art', Ruth will explore how the decision to work collectively mobilises important cultural values and protocols, enables the transfer of intergenerational knowledge, and builds cultural resilience – even when the work is ‘authored’ by a single artist. Lecture only tickets may be available.

This talk is the third in an ongoing series offering insights into artworks and projects included in The 11th Asia Pacific Triennial of Contemporary Art, on display across QAG & GOMA from 30 November 2024 to 27 April 2025. Selected spaces will open early from late-September 2024 for visitors to enjoy.

Includes a glass of wine and two-course lunch (main and dessert). Please RSVP and advise any special dietary requirements by Tuesday 29 October.

Cancellation & Refund Policy

Ticketholders must provide notice of cancellation by Tuesday 29 October to be eligible for a refund or transfer their payment to another Members event. Refund and transfer requests received after the RSVP date cannot be guaranteed.
