The Gallery is open 7 days a week and as such work is performed on a roster basis and includes weekend work, additional ordinary hours and some overtime. Overtime may include early starts, late finishes and/or rostered late hour’s functions.

Under the QUEENSLAND PUBLIC SERVICE OFFICERS AND OTHER EMPLOYEES AWARD – Section 15.3 Spread of ordinary hours of duty, Protection and Visitor Services Staff - Queensland Art Gallery, is summarised as: - a) Hours of work, the ordinary hours of work shall be worked between the hours of 6.00 a.m. and 6.00 pm.
