Guided tours


A volunteer guide discusses artwork with visitors on a tour.

Our Volunteer Guides offer free 30 to 40 minute tours at QAG and GOMA most days of the year. Hear the stories behind the artwork and soak up the atmosphere as you explore an exhibition or the Gallery's Collection with one of our enthusiastic and knowledgeable guides. Admission fees apply to some special exhibitions.

Tours at QAG leave from the Melbourne Street information desk, and tours at GOMA leave from the information desk in the entry foyer unless stated otherwise.

Volunteer guided tours for visitors with disability

Tours can be tailored for visitors with specific needs and are available for visitors with low vision, visitors who are hard of hearing and for visitors who are Deaf. Art and Dementia tours are also offered.
