Watermall
The Watermall is the primary event space at the Queensland Art Gallery. Its unique indoor water feature is an acclaimed architectural aspect of the venue.
Surrounded by art works from the Gallery's Australian and international collections, the Watermall is one of Brisbane's most prestigious indoor venues. The exquisite Watermall provides an elegant setting for formal dinners and cocktail events. It can accommodate up to 250 seated and 500 standing. The space can be accessed easily from the Melbourne Street and Stanley Place entrances.

Lecture Theatre
The Lecture Theatre is a purpose built venue complete with audiovisual equipment and tiered tablet seating for up to 100 guests. The theatre boasts an impressive projection screen making it an ideal space for presentations, seminars and panel discussions.
A combination of the Lecture Theatre and Sculpture Courtyard is ideal when catering is required during Gallery hours, alternatively, the versatile Watermall may be used after-hours.

Seminar Room
Hold your next meeting in the Seminar Room on the second level at the Gallery of Modern Art.

Long Gallery & River Room
The Long Gallery, located on level 1 of GOMA is a striking contemporary space filled with natural light. With its towering ceiling and impressive display of contemporary art, the Long Gallery is the perfect backdrop for any event.
The River Room, situated at the end of the Long Gallery, features floor-to-ceiling glass windows which provide the best Brisbane river and city views. The Long Gallery and River Room combined make some of the most suitable spaces for large cocktail events and formal dinners.
These venues combined can accommodate up to 1000 however due to changing exhibition designs and configurations, the capacities for these spaces may vary depending on the current exhibition. Please contact the Venue Hire Officer for further details.

Cinema A
This state-of-the-art cinema comes complete with multimedia facilities that will enhance any corporate event.
With its wood paneled interior Cinema A offers a modern and stylish experience. The venue offers the ultimate in viewing comfort and tiered seating to accommodate up to 220 guests.
Events in Cinema A can be complemented by catering in other exclusive spaces within the Gallery; use of these venues will attract additional hire fees.

Cinema B
Cinema B is a contemporary multi-functional cinema and event space.
This cinema is equipped with a 13 meter wide projection screen and in-house audio and lighting equipment.
The venue features a wood paneled interior and offers the ultimate in viewing comfort with tiered seating to accommodate up to 100 guests.
With retractable seating, this venue quickly becomes suitable for Board meetings, formal lunches or cocktail events. This space can accommodate 60 standing, 40 classroom and 20 in a U-shape configuration.
Events in Cinema B can be complemented by catering in other exclusive spaces within the Gallery; use of these venues will attract additional hire fees.

River Lounge & Pavilion Balcony
The River Lounge, located on level 3 of GOMA is a contemporary light-filled space and offers stunning views of the Brisbane River and city.
This space features art works from the Gallery's contemporary collection. It can accommodate up t to 250 standing or 120 seated.The adjoining Pavilion Balcony offers guests the opportunity to stroll in the open air and experience the beautiful Queensland climate. The Pavilion Balcony can accommodate 100 standing and combined with the River Lounge can accommodate up to 350 standing.

This unique open-air venue with its large roof takes full advantage of the beautiful Queensland climate making it the perfect venue for exclusive breakfasts, lunches, cocktail events, formal dinners, and wedding receptions.
