Gallery Partners
In late 2009 Santos and the Gallery announced a landmark five-year partnership agreement worth $1.5 million. The agreement includes presenting sponsorship of the Gallery’s annual summer series of exhibitions and sponsorship of the Children’s Art Centre through to 2014. Santos has been supporting the Gallery since the mid-nineties.
Xstrata Coal’s commitment to the Gallery and the arts in Queensland evolved in 2009 with the signing of a three-year sponsorship of the Xstrata Coal Queensland Artists’ Gallery program at the Queensland Art Gallery and the Talking Queensland Art Lecture Tour program. This sponsorship was renewed for a second term from 2012 to 2014. The company has previously supported the Xstrata Coal Emerging Indigenous Art Award between 2006 and 2009. This was Australia’s first award dedicated exclusively to supporting emerging Indigenous art.
In 2012, Audi signed a three-year partnership with the Gallery which encompasses annual sponsorship of a major contemporary exhibition at GOMA and support of the Audi GOMA Bar associated with evening programming initiatives such as GOMA Talks, the Cinema programs, and Up Late.
