QAGOMA Research Library

Visit the Library

The Research Library is located on level 3 of the Gallery of Modern Art. We are open from 10.00am to 5.00pm Monday to Friday, excluding public holidays.

The Library catalogue can be searched anytime.

Planning your Library visit

The general collection is open access and visitors are welcome to browse. The Library's collection can also be searched online.

We invite researchers and post-graduate students to contact the Library prior to their visit to ensure the material is available.

Access to the special and archival collections is by appointment only.

Photocopying is available for a fee, while scan-to-email is free.

We recommend teachers encourage students doing general art assignments to use their own school, university or TAFE library as well as the State Library of Queensland.

Teachers who are setting assignments based on the Gallery's Collection or exhibitions can use the Library's resources by appointment.

Due to space restrictions, it is not possible to host groups of students in the Library.

Remote users

If you are unable to visit the Library, please contact us by telephone or fax or email library@qagoma.qld.gov.au.
