The land and its natural features can wield powerful aesthetic and cultural influences on Australia’s Indigenous artists.
‘Terrain’ explores these relationships through the colours, textures, lines and forms of their paintings, weaving, body adornments and sculptures in the Gallery’s Collection.
Education resource for schools
The QAGOMA Collection Education Resource features selected artworks from ‘Terrain’ to assist teachers in planning a self-guided visit. Suitable for primary and secondary levels.
