About
An adaptation of Kenneth Grahame's beloved children's novel, this 1996 film from Terry Jones is a winsome, winning adventure for all ages. Mr Toad (played by Jones, with a faceful of green make-up) learns that his treasured Toad Hall is set to be destroyed by a cadre of sinister weasels. He must team up with his pals Rat and Mole to escape from an overzealous jail sentence and save his home. With a cast that reunites four of the then-surviving Monty Python crew (Jones, Eric Idle, Michael Palin and John Cleese), alongside British comedy treasures such as Steve Coogan and Stephen Fry, The Wind in the Willows is a cheeky and cheerful ride with Mr Toad and his band of animal pals.
The Wind in the Willows will screen from a 35mm print.
