About
The Rise and Rise of Michael Rimmer is a scathing political satire co-starring and co-written by Monty Python members Graham Chapman and John Cleese. It follows the ascent of the eponymous Michael Rimmer (Peter Cook), who uses every dirty trick in the book to climb from marketing executive to the highest levels of government. With appearances from Ronnie Corbett, Harold Pinter and Ealing-alumni Dennis Price, the film is a viciously witty takedown of British politics that remains startlingly relevant today.
