About
Seymour, a hapless florist’s assistant on LA’s skid row, grows an exotic plant in attempt to keep his job but finds that it cannot survive without feeding on human flesh. Roger Corman is legendary as a producer who could make films dirt cheap with miniscule budgets. Here, he called on cast and crew from Bucket of Blood 1959, which had completed shooting with two days to spare. In that two days and on the same set, The Little Shop of Horrors was filmed. Famous for featuring one of Jack Nicholson’s earliest screen roles, Roger Corman’s black comedy masterpiece about a man-eating plant remains a vital B grade staple.
