With little dialogue and no direct interviews, this understated yet visually compelling documentary follows modern-day cowboys as they lead their flocks of sheep to summer pastures up the dramatic mountainous terrain of Montana. Produced by Harvard University's Sensory Ethnography Lab, it was made by filmmakers and anthropologists Ilisa Barbash and Lucien Castaing-Taylor, and is an elegy to a dying way of life in the American West that is enmeshed with animal and nature.
