About
The incredible true story of Dian Fossey and her world-changing devotion to the primate kingdom. Fossey (Sigourney Weaver) gives up her job and travels with anthropologist Louis Leakey to the Congo to study gorillas. Amidst the turmoil of the violent Congo Crisis, she resolves to stay in Africa and fight the sinister world of poaching that threatens the ongoing existence of all primates. John Seale’s adroit cinematography captures the overwhelming beauty of these creatures in their natural habitats while creatively blending reality with reconstructions.
